The Fundación Canaria para el Desarrollo de la Pintura was created in 2016 by an automotive entrepreneur from the Canary Islands with a family collection of more than 600 works of art. It arose from the idea of sharing this collection with the public and providing a new cultural space in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. After overcoming challenges, they acquired and restored a 19th century building in the Triana neighborhood to exhibit the works. The foundation organizes temporary exhibitions and provides opportunities for artists to exhibit, with the aim of being a new cultural hotspot in the city.
