Museum of Piracy

The history of the Canary Islands is marked by the pressure of piracy, even before the archipelago was named Fortunate. It was not yet an annexed territory of the Spanish monarchy, and its inhabitants, the aboriginals, were already frequently robbed for service by European courtiers.
