Fiesta de La Rama

For this festival, we must go back to Aboriginal times in the Canary Islands. It is a tribute where participants imitate the Aboriginal ritual in which they supposedly asked the gods for rain by beating branches on the sea.
Today, the tradition continues through the streets of the town of Agaete. So much so that it was declared a Festival of National Tourist Interest in 1972.
